A wage that is capable of modestly financially supporting sustaiming a family of 4 all by itself at a rate of 40 hours a week or less.

REGARDLESS OF WHAT THAT NUMBER MAY BE

This is a convenient discussion on how much a family of 4 can expect to spend in each state. And for fun, keep these figures in mind: The highest possible SNAP benefit amount is $939 per month, or $11.2K. On the low end of the spectrum, benefits fall to $718 a month.

Unemployment, likewise, is a varied issie, but while one can receive benefits of $823 weekly (white-collar level careers) on MA, the lowest compensation is a mere $235 a week in FL, or $12.2K a year.

Probably 2x what it was 4 years ago regardless of which country you live in.

So if you could get by on $40,000 per year 4 years ago now you would need $80,000 per year to achieve the same life style.

That’s because of the impact of:
Climate change,
Reduced fuel production,
War in Ukraine,
Slow down in production from covid,
The impact of all those factors on global inflation.
