It is very serious. The MAGA people are okay with attacking congress, trying to kill elected officials, ending democracy, and speeding up the destruction of coastal cities.

@HollyW I used to be full of brain cells. I double majored in Economics and Political Science, attended republican/democrat meetings, etc.

I was so obsessive about right and wrong and winning arguments. Finally I decided to let it go.

I'm probably a dumber, less informed person as a result.

But damn am I happy I stopped caring. Politics is a never-ending cycle of nonsense.

@BohoBabe I don't get how I'm special. Being uniformed and lazy is literally the easiest thing in the world. I was 100% more impressive, intelligent and 'special' when I cared about political issues. Now I'm just a guy.

@BohoBabe But, it doesn't. I'm agreeing with you.

I would say the majority of people don't care about politics. At least 50%. All I was saying is that I don't have mental endurance that people do about these issues and I got burned out.

Most people are like me, but seeing people post about MAGA or BIDEN for the 100th time makes you want to vent about its dullness.

But imo it's the people who can actual handle the stress and enact change that are way more special than I am. Why would I think being overwhelmed and giving up made me special?

@BohoBabe Dude, not everything is about status. I just really find those topics annoying and some people just can't stop talking about it and so I'm venting. That's really all there is to it.

I really am confused on why that upsets you so much.

If politics is your thing that's great, but I just find it annoying as hell.

@Chaoshead Then you should force yourself to follow politics and vote any way. Yes, it's annoying, but it's important.
