revenant No, it's not. As judged by the US courts, and used through US history, as defined in actual documentation outlining fascism and authoritarianism as more than buzzwords.
You're okay with keeping people free of tobacco-induced smoke. You're okay with clicking the seat belt. You're okay trotting off the kids for their school vaccines or taking a medication you can pronounce to describe to help a condition you don't grasp because a man in a coat said to. You're okay with telling people how they should identity. You're okay with restricting others from what you already enjoy. You're okay with mandates against drug users, poor people, minorities and the LGBTQ+
But suddenly you're taking up the horrible and dystopian oppression of the Kiwis, who enjoy higher standards of health, civil rights and political stability. Who enjoy less unemployment and lower inflation per capita. Who enjoy lower rates of diabetes, HIV, tuberculosis and smokers. Oh, and Covid, too.
In New Zealand, from 3 January 2020 to 5:17pm CET, 20 January 2023, there have been 2,114,997 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 2,437 deaths. In the US? 101,873,730 cases, 1,099,866 deaths. The US ranks 7 for case mortality when adjusted for populations. New Zealand? Doesn't even make the list. What a hell-hole it must be.
