@boudinMan Once you'll have mastered elementary school, you'll figure out that when someone tells you "Go check the cars in Norway, they're better than yours." they're speaking in general/average terms, in large numbers you know.
The avg. Norwegian can afford a better car than the average American.

@anythingoes477 the government contracts with private companies to provide many/most of the services associated with those programs/agencies. that's because only the government has the financial resources, that it derives through taxes, to fund such large operations... for example, NASA.

@boudinMan Everything on that list is completely funded by tax dollars. That is what "socialism" is. Programs or services provided for the good of all that are paid for by us......literally......thru tax dollars. This is just a small list actually. Ironically the ones that rant the most about the evils of socialism.....Republican politicians.....are paid and 100% supported by socialism. From wages to world class healthcare for free....to you name it. Including their lifetime pensions. Socialism is a catch all word Republicans use to get rid of anything and everything that benefits the common American. And dumbasses that benefit most from "socialism" are the ones that votes for the ones that would take food out of their mouths....kill their healthcare...take away their child care help....and ignorance stops them from even seeing the stupidity of their own votes.

@anythingoes477 i know those things are funded by tax dollars, but that doesn't mean we have a socialist system of government. as i pointed out earlier, the government contracts with private businesses to fulfill many of its services. in a socialist system, the means of production are owned by the government or the public. if that's what you advocate, just say it. i don't.
