Where do Conservatives get the impression that socialism means not having money or the government paying people not to work?

@val70 Unfortunately, it's beginning to creep into UK politics as well, but not as bad yet.

@Thomas52 It's those silly study groups at the front of it in every possible news show. There was a time when I viewed Question Time every week but not any more. Somehow since 2016 everthing that I used to cherish about Britain is gone, and that's including the conservative party. My mind boggles when I hear young redshirts ask to bring Corbyn back. Silly isn't the word for it

@val70 please bring corbyn back, I'd love that as he was a genuine breath of fresh air that brought the labour party back to being a working class party

@Guitarman123 Three words on that: sure defeat again
Thomas52 · 70-79, M
@val70 Although I've never been a fan of the Conservative Party, there are many members who I respect for their principled consistency rather than the self-centred egotists who have come to the fore in recent years. I share your views on QT and I agree: in 2016 we lost something important.

@val70 he got young people like me interested in politics and helped give us a voice as he's for the people rather than profits
val70 · 51-55
@Guitarman123 Sure, but does he win elections? What use is a radical when he can't lead to winning an election? What next for the poor Labour voter who doesn't like not getting the lottery ticket? They're scared stiff that Corby would take everything away from them. That's real sentiment and not just fancy ideas of leveling up or anything like that. People are selfish and have short memories

@val70 dosent mean corbyn is inferior to starmer

@SW-User why that make you unwell?

@Guitarman123 You are spewing bumper sticker slogans. And worse, it seems like you really believe them
val70 · 51-55
@SW-User Yep, that last one is the saddest part of all. The redness of his redshirt went to his head. Just blame Blair, right?
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@SW-User that nonsense meant to make sense to what i asked?
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@val70 what?
