So you think that dealing with the gun issue in Washington will actually connect in some way how America at a national level will view its rights? I'm sorry, but politicking is about the art of the possible always and not wishful thinking

@val70 when did I say Washington? I'm talking about the whole country and that pro lifers don't actually care about kids once they are born
Graylight · 51-55, F
@val70 Not really interested in how Americans view their rights on this one. The rights they have with regard to guns are largely myth and were any other product killing citizens at this rate, there would be riots and hearings to have it recalled and kept from children. Who today can't play with legos is they seem gay but can tote around their parents 'secured' firearms.

@Guitarman123 Gosh, you're gonna put your trust in the states to legislate on gun control? Can't see any other possiblity. Oh wait, you think that everyone will just come on to the streets and demand gun control? Is that, isn't it, well blow me down
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@val70 it works fine in the uk as gun crime is minimal
val70 · 51-55
@Guitarman123 You're comparing apples with pears there, and you know it. There's no majority for total gun control in the United States. It's from Clinton ago that anything has been done. And there have been plenty Dunblames in America since
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@val70 how am I supposingly doing that when the point of pro life I thought was supporting the life of a unborn baby but don't seem to care about those children once they start school
val70 · 51-55
@Guitarman123 Welcome to American thought
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@val70 that kids aren't important once they are born?
val70 · 51-55
@Guitarman123 No, that guns are there sometimes like cutlery over here. Say, I'm not making this up. Why don't you read anything on American culture instead first? It's big and not so complex. They are simple people
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@val70 I'm aware of the culture and Americans weird obsession with guns
val70 · 51-55
@Graylight How come? Why isn't there any real movement into this matter since Bill Clinton? You're really asking me to believe that a miracle is around the corner just like that? No, it isn't. Just like Labour supporters in Britain would have had rather Boris than Jeremy any time at the last election, and showed that in spades. Why are you living in this unreal world where you think that America will ever be with a total gun ban? Even in New York there's actual movement the other way
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@val70 Labour supporters didn't want trump to win at all, only reason he did was he brainwashed enough older people to believe that corbyn was an antisemite
val70 · 51-55
@Guitarman123 There you go, you think that people get brainwashed. Shouldn't that ring a bell?
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@val70 that's how the capitalist system works and always has. Distracts people with flashing and spectacular images so society convinces itself that it's needs and interests are the same as the people running the system which is just nonsense. The Conservatives knew that corbyn was a threat and gaining popularity so they had to do every dirty trick possible to demonise him and they are doing the same now with mick lynch and other union leaders because they are showing people what the government is really about which is profit over people
