Interesting how American morality works even in corporate circles.

Post your own body without clothes on an American website and the ban hammer is immediate. Post repeated racial slurs across multiple posts....and the response is a big fat nothing.

I did a brief stint once editing movies for TV, meaning we had a strict guideline as to what had to be removed and how. Mom's brains sliding behind her lifeless body down a white refrigerator? Totally fine. Crocodile chewing a a man in half? Acceptable. Gunfire that would make Iwo Jim look like testing grounds? That's fine. Want to have a comedic character who is himself a stereotype and laughs all other stereotypes? Encouraged.

But a poster on a back wall off to the side of the main character for a 10-second scene? Hide those mammary glands. And for God's sake, don't talk about the fact we're natural animals.
@Graylight And of course you had the magic bed sheets that was popularized by American film and TV.

What sites do you mean? SW has thousands of nudes and I have yet to read one racial slur.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow stick with Canadian things you are lost when talking about our country. Just support your PM who appears in black face and is as looney as a toon. I’m not here to educate you despite how confused you show you are.

@AnneHoney I will also say freedom of speech in the US or Canada doesn't mean you are entitled to a platform.

Do you really want him banned? I like when Trumpeteers show their true colors
@trollslayer I just find it interesting that so many American businesses including web sites seem to think seeing a pair of female breasts is a bigger danger to the public than a racist tirade.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow well, many news outlets closed their comment sections when Obama was running for president because they couldn’t hire enough mods to keep the racist comments from their platforms fast enough.
@trollslayer Things have changed in even the last half decade. You don't need a physical person to take down racial slurs. Something like that can easily be automated these days.

A review or appeal would still require a person. But lets be real, the average internet user dropping the N word repeatedly is not doing a literary analysis of Tom Sawyer.
