Not much there is redeemable honestly.
They're taking advantage of the values of their constituency.
The only thing I can get with them on is border security. We can't have undocumented workers coming here and undercutting workers who fought hard for what conditions they have; it drives down the cost of labor and makes things worse for the working class.
But even then I doubt that is their motivation for wanting a secured border.
@Eternity Republicans need to go back to the basics. The extreme [b]Ultra Right[/b] has hijacked their party. It's like it's became a camp full of Nazi's.
Maybe 10% believe the lies. The word Nazi is just one of the group of words we all know that should not be used.
The republicans need a younger centrist moderate groups running the party while still emphasizing perhaps responsibility however providing tools to help make that more achievable. Citizenship for the technically illegal aliens who have been in the US forever - the Dreamers and a reasonably achievable process driven path to citizenship for those who want to reside in the US. They need to work on a true avoidance of foreign entanglements, a balanced budget, protecting Social Security and Medicare for all with money and Medicaid for those without. Simply doing these simple things would make them winners. @Zonuss @Ryderbike

@Eternity The Repubs are the Jim Crow party. They are against all of the things you cited because those things might help some Blacks and other minorities although they would help poor Whites as well. Everything is a racial issue in America.
