Are you basically Left(Labour-Democrat)or Right(Tory-Republican)wing leaning?
Ive noticed a certain political trend among SW people,just curious.

I think the 'political spectrum' is profoundly simplistic to the point of misleading. It creates an either/ or mentality which produces the kind of abusive tribalism you see on SW.
It lumps in attitudes to:
* Economics: It's presented as communism one side (control by government) vs free enterprise on the other. Overly simplistic.
* Power: democratic one side <=> totalitarianism on the other. This has [i]nothing [/i]to do with economics.
* Environmental concerns: is the science correct or can we adopt the 'if it moves, shoot it; if it don't, chop it down' mentality forever with no consequence?
* Social issues: etc.
You could be anywhere on any of these things. And sometimes the answers aren't either/ or. Should we eat ourselves to death or starve. Well... neither.
I think whatever results this poll gives will just reinforce the generalisations in people's minds. I've broken out of that tiny, cramped cell. Outside there are human beings who don't all fit into tiny boxes.
