They need to make Telcom and private utilities franchising of public utility infrastructure just like a politicians job.
Elected by the people every x amount of years. Not decided on and rubber stamped by utilities commissioners in back rooms that give monopolies to a small group of good old boy traded companies that don't serve the public needs.
Just imagine if Comcast and Energy and PG&E was on the ballot 🗳 in various states and major urban cities with their franchising of the utilities easment being on the line, having to compeat with local investors. With the potential of having to shut down operations in an area when voters vote down their franchise.
