How would you feel about visiting a country where people routinely walk around brandishing firearms ?

I presume it would be a third world country, like Abyssinia, Sudan, Afghanistan and so forth. In a civilised country there would be no need for people to carry a firearm.
Best avoid such a place until they mature.

@ManKing Never had to carry one as a civilian and I've travelled fairly extensively. Needing to carry a firearm means either the country is in a war zone or has a breakdown of law and order. One would avoid either, given a choice.

@ManKing 'There is no "civilized" country where there is no need for someone to carry firearms.' ........Of course not , just all those ones that aren't America.

'It is a stupid ass question.' ...... Is it really ? Is that why other countries' governments routinely warn travellers about what to expect entering the US.

'After all, the rate of gun-related deaths is the United States is going up. And mass shootings in America -- 610 as of November 25, according to Gun Violence Archive -- have become commonplace and make headlines around the world.

Would-be visitors aren't being warned off entirely as if America is an active war zone. Each nation has its own approach, but a general theme boils down to this: The United States is more violent than what you're used to. Learn to take precautions there that you might not have to take at home.'
