Secession, why or why not

Either yay or nay. Different scenarios of what the US would look like there was a secession. Do you think it would be a good move ? Why or why not

I used to oppose it, but seeing where things are headed, it's probably a good idea. America could fly pretty high without the massive weight of Texas tied to its ankle.
