Secession, why or why not

Either yay or nay. Different scenarios of what the US would look like there was a secession. Do you think it would be a good move ? Why or why not

I've been saying it's inevitable since before 2000. You would definitely need to allow tons of cross migration (ship the southern leftists to Chicago and Minneapolis - in the dead of winter)
