This election was the best thing that could happen to Republicans

1) Winning back the House enables Repulicans to block Biden's catastrophic big brother legislation as well as to set some of the legislative agenda. It also allows for hearings on some of the misdeeds of the current administration.

2) When the shit hits the fan over the Biden policies the Democrats won't be able to blame a Republican congress. The Republicans were not the "dog that caught the car".

3) Trump was seriously damaged. The Trump mystique, to the extent it still existed, may now be gone. This will allow serious Republican candidates to emerge and compete using conservative ideas to bring our society back to sanity.

The republicans barely took the house. And since they don’t stick together like democrats, don’t expect much. In fact, I’m prepared to be disappointed yet again at the performance ahead.

I don’t think this election damaged Trump. Quite the contrary. His record was actually pretty good and he did more for candidates than anyone else including the senate minority leader. That being said, I don’t think he’ll get the nomination for 24
