This election was the best thing that could happen to Republicans

1) Winning back the House enables Repulicans to block Biden's catastrophic big brother legislation as well as to set some of the legislative agenda. It also allows for hearings on some of the misdeeds of the current administration.

2) When the shit hits the fan over the Biden policies the Democrats won't be able to blame a Republican congress. The Republicans were not the "dog that caught the car".

3) Trump was seriously damaged. The Trump mystique, to the extent it still existed, may now be gone. This will allow serious Republican candidates to emerge and compete using conservative ideas to bring our society back to sanity.

@irishmolly72 LOL, my point was that even as a Democrat who likes Biden more than many people, I really want to see the return of a more sane Republican party, because the country benefits from having a serious debate about serious issues like healthcare and foreign policy and taxes.
