This election was the best thing that could happen to Republicans

1) Winning back the House enables Repulicans to block Biden's catastrophic big brother legislation as well as to set some of the legislative agenda. It also allows for hearings on some of the misdeeds of the current administration.

2) When the shit hits the fan over the Biden policies the Democrats won't be able to blame a Republican congress. The Republicans were not the "dog that caught the car".

3) Trump was seriously damaged. The Trump mystique, to the extent it still existed, may now be gone. This will allow serious Republican candidates to emerge and compete using conservative ideas to bring our society back to sanity.

Happy trolling! 😋

1) You're under the impression that the MAGA and the "serious Republicans", as you call them, will vote in unison. Good luck. Some people's entire political careers there are 100% about getting Trump back, won't care about anything else."RINOs" to them are no better than Dems.

2) Shit hit the fan already with Trump, if anything this only proves that so long as Trump runs, a sizable amount of Americans will go to vote even their own grandma as president if that means lowering Trump's chances to win. All the single issue voters he created won't magically disappear anytime soon. Anyone sane of mind who has seen Republicans f*cking up with crisis management won't buy the "akshually there would be no recession with us" cr#p, especially centrists radicalized under "both sides bad"

3) Trump existence as a candidate will only partition the conservative electorate. Whether he runs with the GOP or as an independent. And if he'll win the primary, well, you've already seen both in 2020 and now in 2022 what's the outcome. If he'll go to jail over the DOJ investigation, Jan 6, the Georgia case or the NY case rest assured the party that enabled him as a whole will suffer in terms of electorate loss.

@Elessar You just proved that not all fantasies on this site are sexual.

@irishmolly72 Yeah, it was "fantasies" also when I said the GOP wouldn't see a red wave due to the abortion fiasco. And here we are

@Elessar Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

@irishmolly72 Seems to happen way more often than twice a day, it's since 2020 at least tht any prediction made against the GOP/Trump turns out to be accurate.

Reality must have a leftwing bias.

@Elessar Wow. Two whole years.
