I theorise that he’s gunna announce his run as a independent, drag the MAGA base away from the GOP.
And have the GOP beg him to be the republican nomination, once they realise.. trumps base is waaaaaay bigger than their base..

He was just dominated today and won the GOP. They dont fully vote until the new congress comes in, in Jan.

@TexChik I read that they held a closed door, informal vote. 188 votes for v 31 votes against. So he got a clear majority, but is short of the 218 he'll need. But things can change between now and January. GOP hasn't even locked up the House majority yet.
