Biden is not a popular president and doesn’t do much to change our minds. The unfortunate alternative is batshit crazy!

So we vote for the forgetful grandpa instead. The GOP had it in the bag but missed their opportunity.

This election draws attention that government has ceased being for and by the people and is now for every everyone but by one party or the other.

A political victory of 50,001% now means that 49,999% have little say so in the affairs of government.

@Heartlander The margins in some races is under 1000 people. If you live in a purple state your vote is crucial! Same for a lot of local races in solid blue or red states. The tired old trope about votes not counting is just an excuse…

@Quetzalcoatlus I think what turned the tide from red to blue in our area was the transition over the past few years to younger voters in huge apartment complexes, like mini-cities in themselves. In a way, we got the exodus from the shrinking, failed core city and they brought their politics with them.

@Heartlander This has always been the case in the US. Support ranked choice voting if you ever want to see it change.
