Regardless of what the gov't is telling us about this escalation as a non-combat role, the Biden administration is putting the US military in harms way.

dont need ground troops.. but send airforce and shoot everything that looks remotely russian out of the sky.
@AngelofFail Bad idea. That will escalate the conflict leading to WWIII and a lot of people getting killed.
AngelofFail · 26-30, F
@BizSuitStacy people are dieing... thousands are.. the sooner this stops the better. and the only way this can stop is if russia returns to their own borders. ukraine wont attack russia... all that has to happen for the war to end is for russia to simply go home. and every escalation of force is justified to reach that goal.
@AngelofFail so when Russia suggested peace talks, Ukraine refused. When Elon Musk suggested Peace talks, Ukraine put him on a kill list. NATO continues advancing eastward. The US invoked regime change in Ukraine in 2014, and the Ukrainian gov't has been engaged in civil war against Russian-Ukrainian citizens in the east. Doesn't sound to me like Russia is the problem.

@BizSuitStacy all russia has to do is leave ukraine... there... peace... and then we can start talking about reparations and how to deal with all the warcrimes russia did. but first they have to leave the foreign country.

its really not that hard.
@AngelofFail You don't have a clue of what's actually happening there. Just repeat the narrative. You sound like Fetterman when he couldn't explain why he opposed fracking for years, the suddenly supported fracking 2 months before the election.
AngelofFail · 26-30, F
@BizSuitStacy interessting how you got from war in ukraine to fracking in the usa... guess you have nothing left to back up your ridiculous claims so you switch topics. and yeah the narrative is written by neutral un-members reporting crimes and mass executions in the ukraine.
no ukraine soldiers have killed russian civilian or bombed russian towns into debris and turned millions into refugees.
the only russian refugees you see are those men try to avoid the draft in russia.
@AngelofFail I suppose it went over your head that I was drawing a parallel between your clueless response over Ukraine and Fetterman's over fracking.

Here...try this. Look up the Bay of Pigs. Or ask your grand parents about it. The Russians tried moving nuclear missiles into Cuba...90 miles from the US. Maybe that will begin to clue you in to why Russia isn't excited about NATO's continued advancement through eastern Europe. And then there's the whole bit from Soros (now the Dems favorite buzz phrase) about how Putin is a threat to democracy.

@BizSuitStacy well russian paranoia isnt something that should affect an independand country like ukraine. just because russia feels threats that arent there and imagines itself as a imperialist power with spheres of influence doesnt mean any of that reflects 21th century politcal realities. russia keeps thinking in 19th century world orders and needs to catch up... which after this war will be hard to do... russia is done for one way or another they are crippled for decades. and the cuba crisis was something completely different as it disturbed a balance. there is no balance with russia... russia is a just another country but still considers itself a super power... it is not.
and btw... the usa are obligated by the treaty of minks to defend ukraine from all nuclear threat by all means possible. same is true for the uk and funny enough russia. anyone threaten ukrain with nuclear weapons then russia has to attack them...
breaking this treaty would send a questionable signal to all other wannabe nuclear powers like iran or north korea... why would anyone ever give up their nuclear weapons again like ukrain did if the promised protection doesnt happen.
@AngelofFail the Minsk agreements are between Russia and Ukraine. There is no treaty (law) obligating the US to defend Ukraine because they aren't part of NATO. You're thinking of the 1994 Budapest Agreement, but the language is vague and not enforceable.

You should quit while you're this far behind.
AngelofFail · 26-30, F
@BizSuitStacy so you know about the treaty but you think it doesnt count and should be ignored ? are you accountable for anything at all ? fact is that russia is the sole agressor here that not onlye broke the minsk treaty in the worst possible way.. they also went against the helsinki accord which was the basis for 50 years of peace in europe... its all gone now. and agression like that cannot be tolerated and by supporting that regime you are an accomplice to the murder and terror done by russia. shame on you.
@AngelofFail It's not a treaty. It's an agreement, and not enforceable. Get your facts straight before exposing your ignorance. Why do you think Ukraine wants to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization?
AngelofFail · 26-30, F
@BizSuitStacy they want to join for protection from an obvious real threat... and not from an imaginary crazy threat that russian paranoia is... russia is the only party to blame here and the only agressor. there is nothing at all that excuses the russian terror attacks on a souvereign peaceful neighbor country... nothing at all to justify it.
@AngelofFail and yet...NATO won't let them join. Let it sink in...

So you seem to think Ukraine wants protection from Russia, but somehow the NATO advancement eastward is an imaginary threat to Russia. 🙄
AngelofFail · 26-30, F
@BizSuitStacy yeah.. they tried to deescalate the situation to keep the peace... and that was obviously a mistake. because you cant trust russia... so you have to put russia put into its place and cannot tolerate their agression and terror against an independant free democratic country.
@AngelofFail De-escalate? Ukrainians were slaughtering their own citizens to the east. Get a clue and quit watching CNN.
AngelofFail · 26-30, F
@BizSuitStacy that absolutely nonsense
@AngelofFail Everything you've said is complete nonsense. You have your "facts" wrong. You don't know the difference between a treaty and an agreement. You've completely ignore the history of NATO's advancement eastward and how that represents a threat to Russia. You are ignoring the will of the people in eastern Ukraine and Crimea. I suspect you know nothing of Victoria Nuland or the regime change she helped engineer in 2014. And how that helped promote the Nazi Azov battalion and other Nazi militias to slaughter pro Russian citizens to the east. Or maybe you missed the part where Nuland denied that the US had biolabs in Ukraine. Then admitted the US had some biolabs in Ukraine, but didn't have dangerous pathogens. Then said "holy shit...the Russians have these pathogens and could make bioweapons.

But hey...Ukraine is kicking Russia's ass right? Why do they need any help?
