Negotiations at any time are usually preferred as negotiations don’t involve killing people. However when you are dealing with a dictator who is emulating the late Joseph Stalin no amount of negotiation is going to end the war. The only negotiation that works for Putin is to tell him you are going to drop a nuke on the Kremlin.

@Roundandroundwego Nit sure if you noticed but the majority of NATO countries don’t go around the world blatantly attacking other countries for no reason and right up until Putin invaded Ukraine the bulk of the western world was life as normal.
