Voter Fraud

What is " wrong " with asking everyone to provide a picture ID to vote ? We are a smart nation I'm certain that we can come up with a mobil ID machine. There are codes that can be used to identify what kind of ID it is. Only a picture, or driving, an immigrant not yet a citizen but in this country legal, public assistance only ect...

In order to be done without accusing one party of cheating, sadly theres going to have to be a representative from both parties be present when the picture are taken and signed off on. Thats just the way it is now, no use in complaining. I know that there are enough people on both sides who want to volunteer to help with elections that are willing to represent their party. To oppose some type of a solution only makes it look like you want non citizens to vote.

I know that there are poor people without assistance or home bound where the mobil ID can go to their homes. There are county buses who take people to Drs appointments even disabled people. There can be county buses that can take them for other assistance.. Has anyone without an ID ever been to a Drs appointment, grocery store, bought alcohol, cigarettes or gotten a controlled prescription ? If yes, then it means that getting an ID is possible. Yes it will cost states and counties more money but I personally have NO PROBLEM having my tax money going for something like this. ANYTHING to shut the f××× fighting the hell up.

First, there are almost no examples of in-person voter fraud, and when there are, more often than not, it's Republicans doing it. None has ever been found sufficient to sway an election. The theory that "millions of illegal aliens voted" to give Biden the victory is unsubstantiated BS that Republicans are using as an excuse to suppress legitimate voters.

I would, however, support issuing a free national ID card to all citizens, as many other countries do. By "free," I don't just mean not charging for the card, but also not charging people for obtaining their birth certificates or other documentation, including paying them to travel or miss work if they needed time to collect this material. Also, it's not just people who never had ID. This also includes people whose ID has expired. They can use an expired ID to buy alcohol, get a prescription, and even get a job if no one is paying attention, but not to vote.

@LeopoldBloom Okay it DOESN'T mater wether there was fraud or not. The issue is a NOW it is a problem wether anyone thinks so or not, no matter what investigations show. No one is going to admit that they are wrong so lets STOP going back and forth. EVERY person has an ID . Every ballot counted in will be verified by representatives. No one can be accused of voting twice , illegal citizens voting or dead people voting. Anyone caught and found guilty of voter fraud should be barred for life from voting

Yes these IDs should only be free to those who can't afford them. If someone can use a n expired ID to purchase liquor or anything else that requires an ID they can certainly afford a new one. Nothing changes for the people who go to the DMV now
@missyann Why should a person have to go to the DMV prior to voting? These days the Post Office is the way to get a passport. If you REALLY wanted to make voter ID free and easy, how about making it possible thru the post office?

For example, Georgia has only 20 DMVs but over 700 post offices. Other states are similar. There's no excuse for forcing people to go to a DMV for voter ID.
@missyann It’s only a “problem” because Republicans are using a nonexistent problem to justify voter suppression. And then you have entrapment where voters in Florida gave released felons their voting rights back, and DeSatan pulled his latest stunt by having them arrested for voting after his own department told them they could vote legally. Of course the courts are tossing these cases but the goal was to frighten people Into not voting.

@LeopoldBloom Don't forget the people tripping over themselves to proclaim how those people DeSantis screwed over voting proves that voter fraud is real.
@OggggO Those are the same people who think his stunt of flying illegal immigrants to Martha's Vineyard was hilarious. He should face charges for human trafficking, same as those guys busted in the Blooming Onion case last year, but unfortunately it won't happen.

@ElwoodBlues you don't have to go to the DMV to get a voter ID. you can use any state or federal government issued ID.
@boudinMan And where else do you get such an ID? How many places in YOUR state issue state or federal government issued ID?

BTW, are you objecting to make it free and easy to get a voter ID? If so, why?
