PELOSI COVER UP: Now we know why Democrats lied about Trump’s National Guard Offer

Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Select Committee investigating the January 6th riot, which took place at the US Capitol nearly two years ago, held its last public hearing nearly two weeks go. The committee is exclusively made up of anti-Republican members appointed by the leader of the Democratic Party. In our entire 233 year history operating under the US Constitution, this mono-partisan makeup and appointment has never happened.

The committee has held one hearing involving police. One that didn’t include assessing any of the chain of command failures, miscommunications between the various participating agencies, or abuses that contributed to the death of unarmed protestors—the only people to actually die on January 6th.

The US Capitol Police Chief, who told the Senate that he ordered the evacuation of the Capitol building due to pipe bombs found outside of the RNC headquarters and not protestors, was terminated through “resignation.” So, too, was the House sergeant-at-arms and his Senate counterpart who is now dead amid conflicting accounts between the men.

Before any Congressional investigation had been commissioned, the three men with direct knowledge had been ousted and Congress gave the USCP nearly $2 billion, tasked them with launching an intelligence collection arm, and the next month they opened satellite offices in Florida and California.

The UCSP Chief says that Pelosi’s security boss didn’t like the “optics” of declaring an emergency, which would’ve been legally required to mobilize the guard, and it be made to appear that the Speaker had lost control.

Her dereliction of duty created no backstop for the protests to run into before parts of it became a riot.

Do you see the part the POTUS played in this OR do you just ignore that aspect? Just a simple yes or no

Becuase we KNOW #45 has done nothing but lie about that whole situation so trying to see if you are bias or is it just me

It was never on MSM. In fact, the MSM tweists it all a little by saying Trump never signed an order for the guard.
Well, that's true but,...

“An official timeline of the Jan. 6 tragedy assembled by Capitol Police shows that a Defense Department official reached out to a Capitol Police deputy chief, Sean Gallagher, on Jan. 2, 2021 to see if a request for troops was forthcoming, but the offer was quickly rejected after a consultation with then-Chief Steve Sund.”

This reporting flies in the face of Pelosi’s sham political witch-hunt assertion this evening that President Trump did not offer the Capitol National Guard protection ahead of the events of January 6, 2021.

Speaker Pelosi could have easily hardened the United States Capitol in those four days, but Capitol Police did not because of “optics.”

@Budwick CLAIM: Former President Donald Trump signed an order to deploy 20,000 National Guard troops before his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, but was stopped by the House sergeant at arms, at the behest of Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. While Trump was involved in discussions in the days prior to Jan. 6 about the National Guard response, he issued no such order before or during the rioting. Speaker Pelosi does not control National Guard troops.

@black4white
She does not run the National guard...

No one said she did.
I said she was OFFERED the National Guard by Trump, and she said no.

This is the third time I've said it.
Do you understand this time?
black4white · 56-60, M
@Budwick Please explain... i dont understand

Why does the POTUS go to her? if she is not in charge of that..makes no sense
Budwick · 70-79, M
@black4white Because she is in charge of security at the Capital.
eli1601 · 70-79, M
@Budwick The Mayor turned down the National Guard offer as well.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@eli1601 That's right!
I hope black4white notices your post.
He seems to look for reasons to despise republicans and excuse democrats.

The House and Senate sergeants-at-arms, who are nominated by each chamber’s leader and elected by chamber members, serve as the Capitol’s chief law enforcement officers for their respective chambers. Each makes decisions for the Capitol Police Board, which oversees the Capitol’s police force in concert with several House and Senate committees.

According to John Stolnis, spokesperson for the U.S. Capitol Police "The United States Capitol Police (USCP) is overseen by the Capitol Police Board and has Congressional oversight by appropriations and authorizing committees from the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate,"

Panels that oversee USCP are the House and Senate committees on Appropriations, the Subcommittee on the Legislative Branch; the Committee on House Administration and the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration.

Pelosi is not listed as a chair or administrator of any committee supervising the Capitol Police, and thus is not directly responsible for overseeing Capitol Police operations.
