boudinMan i just find it amusing how the left, with the aid of the media, clamors about nuclear war when there's a republican president, but not when there's a democrat in power. they did it to reagan and to trump... probably both bush's as well.
I'm sure you think you're right, but you're not, on all counts. But you start out with a straw man. Facts:
1. No one on the left is clamoring about nuclear war.
2. Reagan started out with the proposition that we can win a nuclear war. That's what the left opposed.
3.
when there's a republican president. Huh? I'm sure you read this somewhere.
i have no doubt that trump told kim jong-un in no uncertain terms that if he ever used nukes against us or our allies, he would be obliterated, and yet the left thought he (trump) was the mad man.
Again, another straw man. The left's position has been clear: you make it clear to KJU that if he uses nukes on our allies, he, along with his country, are history.
What the left objected, was the ridiculous love affair between Trump and KJU, where Trump gave KJU exactly what he wants: international attention, and an all-paid excursion at a 5-start resort. Again, I advise you to read the children's book, it may clarify a few things for you.
So, to sum it up, the left's position is, and has always been:
1. You cannot win a nuclear war.
2. You must show your resolve, by adopting a no first strike, but an all out commit in the case of one, otherwise, the other party will not take you seriously, and that will drive them into a misadventure.
3. There is no such thing as an effective first strike shield. The US, Russia, China, France and the UK, all have doomsday retaliation capabilities. The "right" has been duped into thinking that a nuclear war can be won. Your God, aka Reagan's SDI is a clear example of how easily you can be duped.
