look @ the five worst crime cities in the USA ... all run by democrats for decades
the largest city in Arkansas is democratic run which has the 2nd highest crime rate in Arkansas
the city with the highest is also run by democrats is Heleana
so your conclusion that the high crime rate is due to your republican govenor is flawed
check your facts before you throw stones @ anybody

@pdockal And who's the governor of Arkansas, a Republican or a Democrat? The answer, a Republican, don't get it twisted. Arkansas ranks 4th in violent crime and recent research shows that. Unless you live in Arkansas you wouldn't understand.
pdockal · 56-60, M
@SW-User hes NOT responsible for the crime in the cities ... and that has nothing to do with me understanding arkansas or not ... the mayor of each city is and in your case they are ALL democrat .... so please rething your comments and look @ the facts .... i could go on but i wont because your closed minded & wont even look @ my facts
good luck

@pdockal Plus you're incorrect about Helena-West Helena having the highest, it's actually Osceola, Arkansas, West-Helena is a few points lower. Osceola, AR a small community with just over 6,000 people but has a high crime rate. 60 murders were reported there last year, the national average is 6. Huge cities aren't the only areas with the highest crime rate. You'd be surprised.
pdockal · 56-60, M
@SW-User so is Osceola democratic run ???????

I did look at the facts and Arkansas ranks #4 in violent crime. Why are you so pressed about it? I know my state more than you do.

@SW-User because you blame the republicans which isnt correct

SW-User
@pdockal It's moderately conservative
pdockal · 56-60, M
@SW-User what ??????????

SW-User
@pdockal
Because I can. Just because you don't like it doesn't bother me. And since you want to go that route, lets start with my state Arkansas, a conservative state has the highest reading illiteracy, is the 9th worst obesity in the U.S., ranks #4 in crime rate, ranks # 2 in the nation for over-prescribing opioid medications. Arkansas is not all sunshine a rainbows with a Republican governor.

so you feel that you can LIE and its ok
so you feel that the facts dont matter

if you cant see that then your hopless
im not disputing anything but the fact that somehow your so misguided that your feel that the republicans are the enemy & are the reason for ALL your issues

@pdockal Continue clutching your pearls.
Now you're over exaggerating, I just talked about Arkansas and Arkansas only. A Republican run state, as an example that it's not only Democratic run cities with issues.
I gave you social issue information about Arkansas. That you probably won't care about anyway, because it's not a democratic run state. So your little tantrum means nothing.

There are a few different lists for which state has the most violent crime, depending on who crunches the numbers:
Notice something? First, those states tend towards having a lot of rural area rather than urban area, and they are far and away GOP run.

All but three are governed by a Republican majority legislature and a Republican governor, and only one has both a Democratic majority legislature and Democratic governor.

Cities in general are run by Democrats. The point however, is that crime also happens outside of cities.There are a few different lists for which state has the most violent crime, depending on who crunches the numbers:
1. Alaska
2. New Mexico
3. Tennessee
4. Arkansas
5. Louisiana
6. Missouri

@OggggO
yes but my point is that outside the cities the crime is lower then in the cities .... & the cities are the reason why the crime for the state is THAT high
for example crime where i live is less than the national average by a lot & the city closest to me (one of the largest in USA) has a crime rate well above the average .....
see my point ??????????????????????

Then why aren't heavily urbanized states the ones with the highest violent crime rate? Why are so many of those top 10 states ones with relatively small cities only?
OggggO · 36-40, M
@pdockal You say it's cities that are driving up the crime rates of those states, but states that are heavily dominated by their cities, like California, New York, etc. are not the ones with the highest crime rates, furthermore, compared to the cities in such states, the cities in the states with the highest violent crime rates are much smaller, both in total population and in percentage of the population of the state.
pdockal · 56-60, M
@OggggO just because NY isnt on top of the list doesnt mean that crime in NYC isnt high and your missing the whole point ............ look @ the states your talking about & look @ the cities in them with high crime rates and whose controlling them
also NYC spends more funds then say alaska which might be why crime is down
also if the state is more rural and only has state police (some places have local, county, state, park, federal, sherrif) that is a contributing factor
