@Ryderbike You'll need to provide a credible (read, NON LIBERAL SALON HATE SITE rag) to prove it. Either Manafort was lying or he never actually said it. Of course, the Nazi HATE sites (Salon, MSNBC, CNN, etc) have a history of lying and making up all kinds of stuff.

@2cool4school The people around Chaplin gave him all kinds of hell for even thinking of doing that movie. It was his first talkie. And at the end of the movie when he gave that long speech about people having to love one another, J Edgar Hoover practically busted a garter belt, he was so incensed. That was the beginning of the communist conspiracy theories against Chaplin. Ultimately it (unjustly) got him deported. Pity. Chaplin was one of the most amazing film makers in the history of the industry.
