House of Cards was based on a British show...

... and not without reason. UK politicians love plotting, manipulating and manoeuvring. After Jeremy Hunt's anti-Truss budget (he was virtually smirking as he removed her entire policy agenda whilst standing next to her) Suela Braverman has now resigned as a minister. The objective here is to create as much chaos as possible to undermine Liz Truss's failing premiership. A storm of negative headlines and an unworkable government would mean that Truss faces a move against her by Conservative MPs and/or is forced to resign.

The person most likely to benefit is Rishi Sunak, Truss's rival for the top job. The man is keeping strangely quiet and out of the headlines.

Now I am not saying that Sunak and other Truss rivals have met in smoke-filled rooms to orchestrate a planned sabotage of Truss. I am not saying that he (or someone similar) has hatched a deal with Hunt and Braverman to get rid of Truss. I am not saying that they will definitely get top jobs in the next Conservative government. If they do, it will be sheer coincidence.

Or not...

@SomeMichGuy It did lol.

Strange that Hunt and Braverman brought down Truss and then get the jobs from Sunak. It's as though they all had a prior conversation about it or something! 😂
@Burnley123 I'm sure people whonsay such things are reading far too much into entirelt random, uncorrelated actions by independent beings who could *not* have been acting in collusion to pull the hand brake on the train as it jumped the tracks and was hurtling towards Disaster after being renamed the Crazy Express.

I mean, to think that some rational people might wonder how it is that a fresh PM of HM Government would in just weeks create chaos for the UK's economy & society by trying to overhaul and invert the entire basis of how the UK works--esp. in the continuing aftermath of TDKAB (The Debacle Known as 'Brexit')--and, being concerned, confused, alarmed at how the country seemed to be foundering under obviously utterly incompetent "leadership"...to think that such persons would act in concert to both stop the diastrous clown show which made no friends of Britain laugh, and to create leadership under...ANYone else...and reassert & reaffirm the previous course of Britain's basic fiscal & social policies...to provide reassurance to markets which were rapidly sending Sterling into old ruble territory...

Well, ANYone who would make such WILDLY speculative claims simply sounds crazy, sir! Are you Ms. Truss?! 😉🤣
