If we don't vote, it's because...

Fox News contributor and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) said conservative White men are so concerned about being politically persecuted, they refuse to participate in polls, lest they be arrested by the FBI for their beliefs.

The FBI is out arresting people for what they believe. This is the bullsh*t they're plying. And by day's end, I will have heard the bastardized version of this at least once from a True Believer.

Fox News has already been pushing the rogue FBI all morning

@independentone When democracy is dead and buried perhaps then they will be satisfied…but I doubt it.
@Fukfacewillie I really don't understand the people who take Fox News seriously, but they are also the ones who think Trump was the greatest President ever.

@independentone And we all have to suffer…I feel bad for kids growing up in this.
@Fukfacewillie I really don't think this country will ever be united again. Might as well split it up and let each state go its own way

@independentone If I were able and in a red state I’d move. Luckily a blue state.
@Fukfacewillie Yep being in Ca, we can support ourselves and don't have to rely on the red states to prop us up.

@Fukfacewillie There are precious few left. HI, CA, some of the northeast. No one else comes close according to current political research. The problem isn't finding a suitable place to live - it's whether there's a suitable place left.

@independentone then why is California broke and so far in debt if it is great state?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@turbineman40
In absolute numbers, California is the states with the most debt with $362.87 billion in total liabilities in 2019. However, with total assets worth $301.1 billion, California’s net position is better than some states with less debt.

@Graylight Does California have a debt reduction plan?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@turbineman40 Did your 'search' button break? Type in your question and read the answers, which are plentiful. I'm not worried about California, which has always erred on the side of freedom and consumer safety. The places that terrify me are the states that think low debt is a victory because the residents are all living in 1930.
turbineman40 · 80-89, M
@Graylight the high debt of California doesn't scare you? If you personally borrow money from the bank don't you have to pay it back with interest? What about foreclosure on you if you don't pay the money back?
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
@turbineman40 Debt itself is not an issue so much as it’s relation to income. You know this.

We’d also have more money if Cali’s wealth didn’t have to go to backward Trump states.

@turbineman40 California also has a 3.4 Trillion GSP, highest in the US and highest sub national economy in the world. in 2021 California also had a 97 billion dollar surplus in its budget.
@turbineman40 California is far from broke, last year a 97 billion dollar surplus. GSP is over 3.4 Trillion, more than any other sub national economy in the world and far and away the largest economy in the US.
If Red States would become productive and stop mooching off the blue states, Ca wouldn't be in debt at all.

California supports your lazy unproductive ass, you're welcome.
