@Elessar I think you're Italian , if I'm not mistaken. Here in France we have a similar thing in CNews. It's now the second most popular news channel in the country and is fast going down the Fox path.

The answer is probably yes too. In as much as the type of people who choose to watch this type of broadcasting are the most receptive to its shock tactics and conspiracy theory type nonsense.

@LegendofPeza how likely is France to turn fascist (compared to the rise of Meloni in Italy)? Is it less likely than Italy (perhaps owing to the way World War 2 ended in Italy)? Or does history from 70 years ago make little difference, and it could just as easily happen in France now too (e.g., La Pen)?

@SW-User Le Pen's share of the vote has doubled in the last ten years. With an ongoing economic crisis and worries about immigration , there is every chance her party will contest the next run-off. Could she win ? It's not out of the question , but I'd like to think that her support has plateaued now , or at the least she could never convince half of French voters to support her agenda.
