The immigration crisis is worsening

New York City is now in a state of emergency as just .007% of the total number of immigrants that flooded into the US across the porous southern border so far this year have now relocated to that city. When will American politicians move to put an end to the crisis?

New York City mayor Eric Adams declared a state of emergency on Friday in response to an influx of migrants arriving in the city.
Adams said at least 17,000 asylum seekers have arrived in the city by bus from other parts of the country since April.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott began busing migrants from the Lone Star State to New York City and Washington, D.C., in the spring.
Abbott previously said he decided to send busloads of migrants to Washington, D.C., and New York City “because of President Biden’s continued refusal to acknowledge the crisis caused by his open border policies,” saying that “the State of Texas has had to take unprecedented action to keep our communities safe.”
“In addition to Washington, D.C., New York City is the ideal destination for these migrants, who can receive the abundance of city services and housing that Mayor Eric Adams has boasted about within the sanctuary city,” he said when the first bus arrived in New York.

These sanctuary cities now face a reality that they were far removed from, unlike our southern border states now that not just a handful of illegal immigrants here and there, arrive but thousands are showing up and for all their touting being sanctuary cities, it now has a dimension these politicians never considered. Welcome to the reality of a failed immigration system and a could care less administration in D.C. Deal with it mayor Adam’s and other mayors in your sanctuary cities.

Immigration has always been a problem because the constitution does not address it. It only provides a naturalization procedure.

A century ago both political parties were specific in addressing the immigration issue. They were completely against immigration by Asians.

In the 1870 Naturalization Act, only Whites and Black Africans could become naturalized citizens.

During WWI, the country imported Blacks from the Caribbean islands to do farm work.

In the 1950s Eisenhower had Operation Wetback, which deported 300,000 to 1,100,000 Mexicans back to Mexico. They seemed to have had trouble counting.

Since then, the country has entered into all kinds of treaties covering refugees and immigrants so it is almost impossible to take a hardline against the influx of foreigners who illegally enter the country.

The first thing would be to void all of the recent treaties that deal with this issue.

The second thing would be for Congress to write new immigration laws and to bar all judicial review of them.

The third thing to do would to immediately put all apprehended illegals on planes and send them back to their countries.

The fourth thing to do would be to tell those foreign governments that if they continue to send their people here that we will take over their countries and put the leaders in prison.

Of course the blowback on those steps would be immense and it is doubtful if anyone except for a few would support such measures.

Remember, we are all in the same boat so we should always play nice and enjoy the ride and row in unison.
