coincidence

it is rather irony as this month it is sixty years since the cuban missile crisis where a fortnight in october nobody could say if they would see tomorrow. now sixty years on vlad the mad is using veiled threats too unleash nukes on ukraine and the west if they interfere rather dangerous irony

Vlad is Vlad and has been so for all of our lives... all of the lives of of parents and grandparents too.

The West (Winston Churchill and to a lesser degree George S. Patton) wanted to invade the USSR at the closing of WWII. It never happened and from that day until today, Vald has run amok, at certain times going rather mad about it.

We missed our chance those many years ago, and one day we will have to face off with Vlad. Sure wish we would have listened to Winston and George.

@Ontheroad it does seem like a bit of a missed opportunity, in hindsight ... at a minimum, perhaps the Allies could've prevented the USSR from developing nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles
Ontheroad · M
@SW-User I'm afraid that would have ended up about as well as having tried to prevent the same in other countries. Sometimes you go big or you don't bother (or go home).
Honestly... I wish that he'd do more than talk the talk already.

He needs dealing with sooner rather than later. An attempt to launch a nuke would give the allies a perfect excuse to declare war and take him down while he has a depleted army... but we would have to watch out for the Chinese, too.

Something tells me that the Hiroshima and Nagasaki approach isn't going to work as effectively on China today - and we're pretty much 100% reliant on China for much of our technology needs.
I think vlad the mad is too respectful.

I'm going with vlad the cad.

"The West" needs to stay out of it. "NATO" needs to stay out of it.
If Russia launches nukes, it will be the direct result of "The West's" and "NATO's" involvement.
If "The Clown" doesn't know how to win a war, it's not up to the U.S. to teach him, support him militarily, or support him financially.
The U.S. has no business getting involved in Soviet business.
You sure don't remember the USA "routin ' for Putin".

The Spanish flu ended in April of 1920. In April 2020, Cove it becomes apparent in the world. Coincidence?

It is , except the last time our president was not an evil senile fool
Tres13 · 51-55, M
Vlad has warned NATO/USA what will happen,
Graylight · 51-55, F
Yeah, for 15 years. @Tres13
