I have never been "scared" of any fair audit, or a fair count, or a fair election; you might want to check what
Republicans have been doing to free & fair elections in the last year or so, and also review the Republican scheming to overthrow the election--and thus, the government & Constitution--from before the election through 6 Jan. before making such accusations.
3a) Auditing is built in
The way elections are handled in terms of SOP--at least here--is that there are built-in checks in the forms the election workers use for their reporting, to help find problems. This was referred to in the online Wayne Co. Board of Canvassers meeting, in which the guy who ran the Detroit election described that the goal is to try to get "all zeros", meaning no discrepancies. This suggests that the paperwork itself checks forms out v. forms returned, etc.
I bet that most states have these simple, built-in checks, because it's an easy way to check a lot of work across all the precincts.
3b) Local election officials, then local boards of canvassers, go over the results and ask questions, etc., before certifying anything.
3c) As has been pointed out, recounts & audits have added votes to Biden in the cases I have heard about. And YES, fraud WAS uncovered...by Republicans.
But nowhere near enough votes to change elections.
4) You hint at some actual charge or misgivings you have, but you still haven't said anything concrete.
