@Jaenanders Actually, I didn't claim or imply "intelligence is declining." Instead I correlated facts about denial of various sciences. If you'd like to propose an underlying cause for all this denial, I'm all ears!

@Jaenanders Yeah, education varies state by state. People who graduate High School in New York State have a solid secondary education. States across the south - not so much.

And then there's all the people sending their kids to "Bible School" and homeschooling their kids.

Yeah, we could probably put a lot of blame on the education system, but let's leave some blame for the religious fundamentalists trying their best to politicize the education system.

@ElwoodBlues I maintain that religion needs to be kept separate from the state, period. This does not mean I support Atheism replacing religion, to be clear.

@Jaenanders Secularism should replace it, unless parents are sending their kids to religious schools. No one should be proselytizing at public schools, which everyone has to pay taxes to support, with children attending or not.

@bijouxbroussard School should teach science, critical thinking, necessary skills... the difference between fact and opinion...
