End the war on Drugs

There is a solution to the “World Drug Problem”. Open drug policy key concepts:

• Abolition of legal repercussions for consumption or possession of any substance

• A reasonable regulation of production, distribution and exchange of any substance, that is aimed at preventing consumption by non-autonomous persons

• Taking measures to rehabilitate people who faced criminal penalization in connection to non-violent drug-related offences

• Advocating for compassionate and tolerant attitude towards people who use psychoactive substances

• Encouraging science-based discussions and narratives to educate potential drug users of benefits, consequences and dangers of drug use.

"There is no war on drugs because you cannot have war against inanimate objects. There is only war on drug addicts"
- Dr. Gabor Matè

You've never worked in a prison.

@JimBeam What's your point? 🤔

I asked Anthony what his plans were when he got out in a week. He said he planned to get fucked on meth and go back to prison.

@JimBeam You also mentioned "beat downs" in your post which indicates he had violent tendencies? Even when not on drugs?
Is violence common amongst prisoners? Wouldn't this reproduction of violence turn prisons into microcosmoses in which anti-social behaviour is reproduced making rehabilitation harder.

Rehabilitation? He cut her head off.

@JimBeam you understood my questions? I am questioning whether prisons encourage violent behaviour instead of trying to archieve the opposite.
My original post refers to drug use only not violent behaviour on drugs. That should be punished.

While in prison, he never cut anyone's head off. He did not want to get out of prison. He had no choice. And now his girlfriend doesn't have a head. Many prisoners love prison. It's their home.

Now the state gives prisoners synthetic heroin. Many guys tell me it's worse than the real thing.
