Americans: Think Carefully when you go to the Polls in November

One month ago, the FBI searched Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate after he refused to turn over more than 300 classified documents, including nuclear secrets, in potential violation of the Espionage Act.

And two weeks ago we learned exactly why that raid occurred. the affidavit reads: "Based upon the following facts, there is probable cause to believe that the locations to be searched at the PREMISES contain evidence, contraband, fruits of crime, or other items illegally possessed in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 793(e), 1519, or 2071." In a court filing, the Justice Department also confirmed that they had video evidence that documents had been "concealed and removed" by Trump's team in an apparent attempt to thwart the ongoing investigation.

The same week the raid occurred, Trump pleaded the Fifth Amendment 440 times during a deposition with the New York attorney general over allegations of fraudulent business practices and tax evasion.

So how is all this playing with Republicans? Turns out, Donald Trump is now more popular with the GOP base than ever.
Since the Mar-a-Lago raid, Republican candidates and officeholders have fallen all over themselves racing to the cameras to attack the FBI and repeat Trump's lies. The few Republicans with the integrity to stand up to Trump have been almost entirely drummed out of the party. The truth is that the Republican Party has become nothing more than a neofascist authoritarian cult. They don't believe in anything except loyalty to Donald Trump. And they cannot be allowed back in power.

Vote in the November Election. Our democracy is at stake.

What's really odd at this point is that so many Republicans are straining to contend that Trump isn't on the ballot (yet), while every Republican in the midterms tiptoes around him or sucks his toes.

I agree that Americans capable of thinking should, but I hope they also remember, as many try to distance themselves from Trumpism, that those same people in many cases supported him, even in the impeachment votes.

@MistyCee I think the new trend will be verbally backing away from Trump and anti abortion stances, getting voted in, then saying surprise I was just kidding! Liars, what’s bad is the gullible public can’t see this.

@MistyCee Much like the people that supported Clinton while he was being impeached.
@nudistsueaz Good point, but imo, Clinton only got nailed on one peripheral lie, because he was (stupid/or honest) enough testify under oath.

I actually do get the Fifth Amendment, but I also get where the whole idea of testifying under oath is kind of an anachronism today.

Clinton was sort of an idiot to submit to cross examination, but his cross was nothing compared to what Trump could have faced.

@MistyCee Trump was just smarter
@nudistsueaz Oh, ok. Just smarter, and what, a better criminal?

@MistyCee all the above, match their bank accounts
@nudistsueaz And their debts?

Trump send to have that part down compared to Clinton, especially the fraud part.

@MistyCee Trump has tons more money. He just hasn't killed as many as Bill and Hillary.
@nudistsueaz Geezuz your sickness is appalling
@nudistsueaz Stealing secret and confidential information vs a blow job. Big difference.
