On the one hand we're told that energy companies have made billions from the present crisis. On the other that the government will have to borrow

billions to compensate them for cutting their prices. I don't understand. Aspiration has become the "in" word. Should it not be exploitation?

They are acting as a cartel by exploiting the cap to make excess profits. The monopoly commission should be fining them a multiple of these sums and charging the directors with criminal behaviour or simply sanctioning them.
