Police Departments all over the nation are starting to buy EVs..

Will this be the catalyst for more EV infrastructure in the US? Is this the beginning of the end for the combustion engine?

Well, police are being defunded all over. And, EV's are way pricey.
And, fossil fuel engines apparently will be in demand - at least until a reasonable alternative is up for sale.
