Because, you failed to check out the countries that have socialism and so, you fail to see what socialism brings to the countries who have tried it. Or you ignore all that and believe here will be different.

@Justmeraeagain If those values don't work in capitalist society, they will hardly work in forced socialism. It will only result in oppression from the state, corrupt government and people abusing the system.

@Justmeraeagain Technically every first world country has elements of both, so that statement doesn't bode well with reality. Pure capitalism ("the market regulates itself without any need for regulation" style) is just as disastrous as pure socialism enforced by a corrupt party.
I could point you at Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden as positive examples for "socialism", and my own country, especially the south, as a negative example for "(unregulated) capitalism".
