Do you agree that parents who homeschool their children, should be paid by the government?

I was talking to a friend on here, and he agreed with me. I won't mention his name, because I don't want him to have to go into the witness protection program, for associating with a dirty rotten scoundrel like me.

In my state, it costs about $20,000 to teach a student for a year in a government school. Conservatives are not happy with our tax dollars going to a government school that focuses on teaching crap about pronouns, toxic masculinity, all white people are garbage, and of course, LGBTQRSTUV. Meanwhile, the government schools are saying that math and science are racist. lol

If parents want to forgo this insanity, and teach their own kids, I believe they should get paid. I believe that if this came to fruition, the government schools would be nearly empty. Yes the mafia (teacher's union) wouldn't like it, but tough shit.

Parents should
Not be encouraged to educate at home.

School should provide a proper curriculum. Schools struggle to provide literacy and numeracy for the masses. Sexuality is definitely
Not a priority.

Schools need to do school better.
Parents need to parent better.

@Muthafukajones if only it actually worked that way

@Muthafukajones parents and schools should work together, but don't see it happening.
I have no problem with homeschooling as long as they are being taught the basics and they have some kind of social interaction in other areas.

The answer to everything isn’t to do it yourself like a pioneer. If we want to be part of a society we have to hold to account the people to their separate and important roles.

Engineers build bridges… not me… I drive on them and trust them to be stable

Doctors care for the sick… I did not go to medical school…

Teachers must teach children… that is their training.

Parents must teach their children to be good people… they can seek help from family and if no role model is there form god. Loved children are good children.@RebelFox

@Justmeraeagain school is about social normalization and training to go to work every day. It helps build a society. School is important for much more than it’s academic lessons though I concede that in many places those lessons are poorly taught.
@Muthafukajones Ok, 🏆.

@RebelFox

And it doesn't. The definition of insanity, is trying the same thing over and over, but expecting different results.

@JimBeam I homeschooled my son last year and I can tell you he likely learned way more about life and himself, not how to be a robo socially normalized ding dong.

@Muthafukajones that may or may not be so, but there are many teachers leaving the field and the kids are not getting a very good education because of it. So with the teachers leaving the classroom it doesn't show a very good work ethic it does it?
I'm not blaming the teachers I'm just saying you can't tell kids they need to get ready to go to work by putting them in school when teachers are leaving the field right and left
