Do you agree that parents who homeschool their children, should be paid by the government?

I was talking to a friend on here, and he agreed with me. I won't mention his name, because I don't want him to have to go into the witness protection program, for associating with a dirty rotten scoundrel like me.

In my state, it costs about $20,000 to teach a student for a year in a government school. Conservatives are not happy with our tax dollars going to a government school that focuses on teaching crap about pronouns, toxic masculinity, all white people are garbage, and of course, LGBTQRSTUV. Meanwhile, the government schools are saying that math and science are racist. lol

If parents want to forgo this insanity, and teach their own kids, I believe they should get paid. I believe that if this came to fruition, the government schools would be nearly empty. Yes the mafia (teacher's union) wouldn't like it, but tough shit.

The government should start regular exams for such cases to ensure the proper development of kids. Will government have right to penalize the parents if their effort is not up to mark?

@ABCDEF7 This is an interesting point.
Not sure if it's a cross the board or not, but we do have school choice in Michigan which means you can go to charter schools, homeschool, or you can use public school curriculum from home. If you do choose to do the public school curriculum at home, which in Michigan is free, you can explain to your children why you are not agreeing with what is being taught and in some cases you can request different reading materials.
I know ,because the school ,when my son was still in high school, gave him a very violent book to read and I talked to the school to tell them I did not want him reading that particular book and they gave him an alternative.

@Justmeraeagain If the kids are unable to perform up to the mark, then parents should be avoided to get the kids enrolled in proper school. Children learn social skills better in school.

Keep in mind that if you speak out at school board meetings, attorney general Merrick Garland will have the FBI after you for being a domestic terrorist.
