Is MTG Really this stupid?

Perjury Traitor Greene seems to think that solar and wind energy only work when there's sun and wind, apparently she's never heard of batteries, you mean they don't have batteries in deep, dark Georgia where she's from? Is her brain even capable of keeping her breathing?

“Thank god for air conditioning. Let’s talk about refrigerators. I personally like my refrigerator. I know you all like yours. What about washing machines and dryers? Lord please God don’t make me scrub clothes in a bucket and have to hang them out on a line when we switch over to wind turbines and solar panels,” she said. “I’m gonna be really pissed off about that. I mean, how absurd is this? I like the lights on. I wanna stay up later at night. I don’t wanna have to go to bed when the sun sets. It’s so silly! I mean, all of this is insane.”

@SW-User MTG, doing her part to convince the rest of the world that Americans are crazed idiots. Guess what? Sarah Palin is eyeing a comeback in politics!

We get these evil clowns, Trump, MTG, Palin, because intelligent people with serious ideas about public policy are discouraged from participating in American politics.

Who discourages them, though? And what's the problem with serious ideas?

@MistyCee Corporations and billionaires don't want a president or Congress who will limit their power. If a sincere, intelligent person is running for public office with real ideas on public policy, corporations give millions to the opposing candidate.

@badminton Wouldn't Palin be the most intelligent person around? After all, she reads ALL of the newspapers published. At least she said she did.
@badminton I get blaming corps, and really, the money that lets some folks have more political influence than others, but I'm not sure indicting wealth really helps much, other than maybe to show that American Democracy has always been kind of a sham perpetrated by two sets of economic elites trying to compromise on sharing power by overthrowing a third.

Really, didn't British capitalism lead to the settlement of the US and its rebellion from the British crown? Seems like its always been about money and power, and regardless of the political system, how it's leveraged.

We chose, long before Marx, to adopt a hybridized Democracy/Republic,
Imo, with a lot of hoopla about natural rights and half baked political philosophy, and I think, maybe what we're seeing is the hubris and futility of trying to figure out a compromise and not really being able to revisit it.
