I think the logic is technically faulty, but the conclusion truth.

@ChipmunkErnie Let's hear your argument for technical fault.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@MissPerfect It simply doesn't follow the rules of logic. Been 50+ years since I took a course in logic, so I can't remember the exact term, but logic isn't math, it's not simple equations. And yes, I'm too lazy to look up a course in logic to find the exact explanation.
MissPerfect · 22-25, F
@ChipmunkErnie I followed the rules for first and second premise.

@MissPerfect But they conclusion doesn't necessarily follow. It's a syllogistic fallacy as far as I can see. Preferring Trump doesn't mean you HAVE to be an enemy of America, logically -- though I figure a Trumpist probably would be by my definition of an enemy of America..
MissPerfect · 22-25, F
@ChipmunkErnie We can politely disagree on that. Trumpists could be deluded in thinking they're patriots. That would explain their rationale for an attempted coup.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@MissPerfect But not all Trumpers were for the insurrection -- if they were, there would have been millions attacking, not hundreds. Luckily not everyone who voted for Trump or believes his BS is TOTALLY extreme and whacko.
MissPerfect · 22-25, F
@ChipmunkErnie I think the defining characteristic for Trumpists would be the vote cast.
