Watch: Trump’s odds of winning in 2024 surge, DeSantis also rising.

Washington Examiner.

Even an FBI raid of his winter home and threats of a criminal indictment can’t hold back former President Donald Trump’s surging odds of winning the White House back.

The latest election betting odds provided to Secrets shows that Trump is on top.

“Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home was searched by the FBI in recent days, but that hardly made an impact on the 45th president's election odds,” according to a betting wrapup from Covers.

However, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who just announced plans to campaign for Republicans in key battleground states this month, is catching up fast, as the interactive betting graphic Covers produces shows.

While Trump and DeSantis are seeing a good boost in 2024 betting odds, both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are far behind in the odds.

“Shortly after the inauguration, Vice President Kamala Harris was atop the presidential odds board at +350, with Biden close behind at +400, and Trump in third place at +650. Those odds have shifted massively and Trump is now leading the field as the 2024 U.S. presidential election favorite at +275 (implied probability = 26.67%), followed closely by DeSantis at +300 (25.00%). Biden has now dropped to third place at +600 (14.29%), while Harris has plummeted all the way to fourth place at +1,400 (6.67%)."

@MistyCee These stories crack me up. They're relying on stats from a gambling coverage site, frequented most (if not exclusively) by people with a gambling addiction.

Among the socio‐demographic factors reported to correlate with problem gambling are male gender, lower education, younger age, being single or divorced, being unemployed or laid off from work, sick leave, retirement on pension for health reasons and lower income.

@MistyCee DeSantis would be wise to let Trump slay this beast and then take over after the next election

@Experienced33 Sorry, did I hit a nerve? Are you a frequent visitor? Another name for gamblers is suckers.
@Northwest Nahh, just no one wants that loser Biden again...That's pretty clear, and we'll see in November.
@TexChik If I was DeSantis, that's how i'd play it.

Even if Trump doesn't kill the beast, he'll likely weaken it.

@TexChik or if their egos stay in check, what an amazing duo. imagine what would happen. 12 yrs of Republicans..
@akindheart Sounds horrific to me, but I wanted to vote Republican after 8 years of Obama, and I got stuck with Trump.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@MistyCee ha ha...i can bet you are horrified but we are doing just fine with their leadership down here
@akindheart More power to you, I guess.
@TexChik maybe Mr trump should declare himself president -in-exile, and claim he is the legitimate president. then announce a cabinet. then he could seek out military leaders that would take an oath to him, rather than the constitution.
I think this would really work on some levels.
if he did this? would you declare in his favor? maybe take a personal oath?>
i am not kidding, I am interested in the idea a lot
