Democrats Just Hired 87,000 More IRS Employees to Harass, Attack Americans

Democrats Just Hired 87,000 More IRS Employees to Harass, Attack Americans — Here’s a List of the Conservative Groups the Obama IRS Targeted in 2012

On March 26, 2014, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen testified before the House Oversight and Government Reform. Koskinen told Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) during the hearing that Lois Lerner’s emails were archived and it would take a long time to retrieve them.

In June 2014 the IRS told Congress Lois Lerner’s emails were lost in a computer crash.

Lois Lerner was head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, which oversaw applications for tax-exempt status, including those from political groups. Lerner, a committed leftist, was at the center of Obama’s IRS targeting scandal.

Thousands of emails were later recovered by an Inspector General that were not previously produced for Congress.
The IRS leadership was targeting conservatives and lying about it to Congress.

The emails confirmed Lerner funneled information on conservative groups to at least one Democratic lawmaker.

Documents released in July 2016 revealed the IRS knew of Tea Party targeting since 2011.

The IRS released a list in 2016 of 426 Tea Party and conservative groups that were targeted during the Obama years.

The IRS Conservative Targeting Scandal included:

Hundreds of conservative groups were targeted
At least 5 pro-Israel groups
Constitutional groups
Groups that criticized Obama administration
At least two pro-life groups
An 83 year-old Nazi concentration camp survivor
A 180 year-old Baptist paper
A Texas voting-rights group
A Hollywood conservative group was targeted and harassed
Conservative activists and businesses
At least one conservative Hispanic group
IRS continued to target groups even after the scandal was exposed
10% of Tea Party donors were audited by the IRS
And… 100% of the 501(c)(4) Groups Audited by IRS Were Conservative

In 2017 Judicial Watch released 695 pages of documents from the IRS that contained admissions by IRS officials that the agency used “inappropriate political labels” to screen the tax-exempt applications of conservative organizations.

They were targeting conservatives. It was on purpose. And they admitted it in writing.

Even Dr. Ben Carson was caught up in the IRS targeting scandal.

When the Democrats promise that the IRS will not target the middle class or will not target conservatives — DON’T BELIEVE THEM!

Just ask the Trump supporters sitting in prison today without trial for standing outside the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The IRS is corrupt, and many of its employees are incompetent. So the plan is to double the size of this mess. They've just shoved a tax hike through labelled as inflation relief. I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to think any of this is a good idea.

@BizSuitStacy What proof do you have that the IRS is corrupt or incompetent? If you have verifiable evidence please post it.

@BizSuitStacy The voters will wise up by November. 😏
@irishmolly72 looking forward to it.
@badminton
LOL. Read the post above. Note Lois Lerner's emails.

More importantly, what proof do you have that we need more agents?

The whole idea is completely moronic. No wonder you support it.

@BizSuitStacy I just think billionaires and corporations should have to pay taxes like the rest of us. They should not be allowed off-shore tax havens, or a lower tax rate, or get huge tax cuts as in 2017. We all need to pay taxes to maintain the infrastructure of the country to pay for essential services, and to pay for defense, etc. The wealthy should do their patriotic duty and pay their fair share of the tax burden .

@badminton The bottom 50% of all taxpayers pay 3% of the income tax. The top 10% pay well over 2/3 of the tax.

@badminton classic broken record..."ohhh billionaires and corporations don't pay their fair share."

You could confiscate the wealth of all the billionaires in the US, and still not make a dent in the national debt. How many billionaires do you think there are in the US? LOL.

The corporation argument is the dumbest of all. It shows a complete lack of both business and economic sense. What do corporations do when you raise their taxes? They raise the price of goods and services and pass them on to consumers. Or they cut wages, laying people off from jobs, increasing unemployment and taking tax payers out of the labor pool. Or they move operations to areas with lower taxes.

Polly Wants a Tax Cracker:
The wealthy already pay the lion's share of taxes. Per the IRS: in 2018, the top 1 percent of taxpayers paid $616 billion in income taxes. That amounts to 40 percent of all income taxes paid, the highest share since 1980, and a larger share of the tax burden than is borne by the bottom 90 percent of taxpayers combined (who represent about 130 million taxpayers). Again...you're spewing the same leftist sewage I've been hearing for the last 40+ years.

Congress just passed a tax hike. It will impact everyone making $30K or more including corporations. Something Biden said he wouldn't do. Did you read his lips? Passed it as the inflation reduction act or some typical bullshit name, where the exact opposite happens. How stupid is it to raise taxes during high inflation and during a recession the WH claims we aren't in? Extremely stupid. You'd only do it if you were intentionally trying to do further damage to the economy.

Oh...but orange man is bad. 🙄

@irishmolly72 Huge parts of the income and assets of billionaires and corporations are declared non-taxable income. they hide a large part of the their income in off-shore tax havens. Also, they have received huge tax cuts, under Trump in 2017 and under Reagan in the 1980's. In fact the very wealthy pay a much lower tax rate than the rest of us.

"It is not uncommon for large U.S. corporations to pay no U.S. income taxes despite making billions of dollars in profits. In fact, 55 of America's largest companies paid no income taxes over the three-year period from 2018-2020, all while generating hefty profits. Many even received tax rebates adding up to hundreds of millions of dollars.

"How do profitable corporations get away with paying no taxes? The most common ways are accelerated depreciation, offshoring of profits, stock options, and tax credits."

@badminton "How do profitable corporations get away with paying no taxes? The most common ways are accelerated depreciation, offshoring of profits, stock options, and tax credits."

What is the purpose of accelerated depreciation? To encourage corporations to make capital expenditures more frequently. The net effect is to continue modernizing their facilities more frequently. This is good for the economy as a whole...it boosts GDP, promtes new business growth leading to more jobs and larger tax base. Something any 2nd year accounting student could tell you. But orange man bad.

Offshoring of profits? Duh...corporations move offshore to shelter themselves from higher tax rates. What do you expect? The US has historically had the highest corporate tax rates in the world. Trump cut those rates, and many of those companies came back. Raise the rates, they will move. If you stick your finger in a light socket, get shocked...are you going to continue sticking your finger in there?

Stock options are an employee incentive. How does this save corporations tax dollars?

Tax credits do lower taxes. How do tax credits come about? Congress passes legislation. Sooo...the $64K question...with majorities in the House, and ultimately the Senate (Kamala is the tie breaker)...why aren't they cutting tax credits?
