Waiting for that same idolatrous worship Trump got for the same thing

U.S. employers added a booming 528,000 jobs in July as the labor market continued to defy soaring inflation, rising interest rates and a slowing economy. The unemployment rate from 3.6% to 3.5%, matching a 50-year low, the Labor Department said Friday. Economists had estimated that 250,000 jobs were added last month, according to a Bloomberg survey.

Waiting for the ‘buts’ and ‘whatabouts’…

Trump actually had pro job policies. HIs jobs/tax cut act is what is still fueling this economy. Name one policy that Joe Biden has enacted that you think has lead to any of this job growth?
@southbeachguy Got it, Orange God is responsible for everything good for eternity but both as is his fault.

Trump didn’t do shit. He rode the Obama economy his first three years and his mismanagement of COVID is all on him.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@southbeachguy His tax cutting and covid financial support also kickstarted the current phase of high inflation.

@southbeachguy how many jobs are in the federal sector?
As a business owner I refuse to believe any poll and have only participated in the damn few that pay me

Ok what would have done during covid? Do not give me Orange man good crap. I voted for him neither time. I have things I agree with him and many I do not. Tell me how you would have both lead safe policies and not lost incredible amounts of jobs?@LeopoldBloom

@southbeachguy
◘ Fix highways, rebuild bridges, upgrade ports, airports and transit systems. The President’s plan will modernize 20,000 miles of highways, roads, and main-streets.

◘ Deliver clean drinking water, a renewed electric grid, and high-speed broadband to all Americans. President Biden’s plan will eliminate all lead pipes and service lines in US drinking water systems, improving the health of the country’s children and communities of color.

◘ Build, preserve, and retrofit more than two million homes and commercial buildings, modernize the nation’s schools and child care facilities, and upgrade veterans’ hospitals and federal buildings.

◘ Solidify the infrastructure of US care economy by creating jobs and raising wages and benefits for essential home care workers.

◘ Revitalize manufacturing, secure U.S. supply chains, invest in R&D, and train Americans for the jobs of the future.

@SunshineGirl I think Trump way overspent and was surprised inflation did not come sooner. However he also had energy policy and other policies that were good for the economy. As for Biden everything he and Democrat governors do it inflationary with regulation and paying people not to work.
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
We have had a revolt by labor as well as supply chain issues. We are living in very very unusual times, however no Democrat would not blame Trump if the reverse was occurring. Bottom line Trump had very low inflation, it has risen astronomically under Biden. If Biden supporters want to claim it is reopening of the economy then do not try to take credit for the strong job numbers. Also admit your energy policies suck. The war in Ukraine did not occur on Trump watch it occurred on your watch.

@helenS taxpayers to foot the bill to pay for infrastructure improvements while the utilities profit on it and take credit... What does the airport do for me? What is that about improving the communities of color
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
For people that think we had overly stimulative policies with stimulus and flooding states with money blame both parties who overwhelmingly supported it with little substantive debate. I think deficit spending is the greatest moral crime of the past 40 years.

HUH????????????????????@MarineBob
helenS · 36-40, F
@MarineBob ... I think it meant improving the health of these communities.
Infrastructure is for everybody. Economic growth is based not only on people who are willing to work hard, but also on an efficient structure of roads, bridges, electricity, water supply, railway stations, airports and so on. I think the question "What does the airport do for me?" is misleading. If you live, for example, in Texas, you could also say: what does a road in Natrona county, Wyoming, do for me?
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@helenS should the utilities and airports that are receiving the taxpayer dollars be required to cut the executive salaries
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
IF you wanna make an argument against airport subsidies I am largely with you. Utilities are a bit more complicated. The swipe and executive salaries is just a dumb misdirection.@MarineBob
@MarineBob Sure. Let them charge what the market will bear. If you want to pay full price for flights, knock yourself out.
