Hypocrisy, thy name is Republican

So let me get this straight: some of the same members of Congress who think the right to own an assault arm is more important than children's lives now want taxpayers to protect them with heightened security and installation of equipment because they feel threatened by those who might use that unrestricted access to threaten them?

Maybe they should call the NRA.
What?! I thought everyone having access to weapons expressly designed to kill many humans in short order made everyone feel safer...now i'm all confused.

Hypocrisy: thy name is rich and influential people regardless of their political stance. Jesus can't we just stop fighting amongst ourselves? This is exactly what they want. To keep us divided. Whilst they bag on our sweat and blood and increase the wealth gap and make life even more miserable for us working class folks?

@assemblingaknob No. We’re divided because of the actions of a certain group of people. If the same hypocrisy was coming from both sides, we might be less divided. But there’s no commonality. 🙁

What are the states with the most guns, Alaska, Kentucky, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, murder rate is what in those states? Please blame the shooter not a gun.
@Graylight Right.
summersmiles · 51-55, F
@southbeachguy those states are heavy with hunting rifles. Canada has tons of guns. Hunting rifles. All the murder and mass shootings are not being done by hunters.
pdqsailor1 · 61-69, M
Canada has two allowable uses for firearms.. range / target shooting and hunting.. that is IT.. Any other use of a fire arm is criminal and the criminals are not licensed or using legally obtained firearms they are using smuggled guns and ammunition because that is the ONLY way they can get their hands on it. Legally held firearms are securely locked up...@summersmiles

Kids don't send them dollars.
Dollars are more important than anything.

It's okay... the Senate will NEVER pass that new bill. HR 127 is the gun-grabbers first step to to unseat American Freedom and control it's citizens lives. 🙄
@Montanaman We mind being controlled by a conservative SCOTUS, but apparently that doesn’t bother you folks.
Montanaman · M
@bijouxbroussard I'm not happy about the decisions that SCOTOS has made myself. I'm pro choice, and pro Lgbtq.
Because its the right thing in today's society. It's wrong to set the clock back 50 years. 😔
@Montanaman And you’ll never see me advocating the outright banning of guns. They have a purpose. But it shouldn’t be so easy for teenagers or the mentally disturbed to buy an AR-15. Most states that have even reasonable control laws, generally border states that don’t.

These are the people who want to arm public school teachers even though they think school-teachers are all "groomers" 🙄

Constantly hand-wringing and shrill, thy name is Graylight! 😂😂
justanothername · 51-55, M
Republicans are all about confusion.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
It's poor mental health and bullying, not guns
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@Graylight then why wasnt it nearly as prominent 10, 20, 30, 40+ years ago?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Rolexeo Mental health is some of it. So is population, demographics, poverty, education, legislation and shifting cultural norms and ethics.

Roughly 8% of mass shooting perpetrators have a serious mental illness. Almost none of those people had a record of treatment that would've raised cautionary flags.

Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@Graylight those things were all factors before so no. School shooters are almost unanimously socially awkward/ostracized incels
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
I’m sure there are many citizens w legally registered guns who would offer free protection to them .
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
Blame absentee dads, or mothers who choose to get preg by shitty men.
justanothername · 51-55, M
@southbeachguy Just blame Republican dads.
Dino11 · M
Better law enforcement, much stricter gun laws (.like CA), no assault weapons
MarthaT · 90-99, M
Lol the Republicans are from the1600s
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
I thought they liked “tourists “
Unbelievable. They sure don’t believe in reaping what they’ve sown, do they ? 🙄

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire ... the NRA-Team.

(but please don't bring your guns onto the convention floor while Cheetolini is speaking, that's not cool)
