@fanuc2013 I really have to agree with you there. The US media news and current events bears little resemblence to actual news. reporting of actual facts takes 5 minutes total. And that includes the alligator in the swimming pool story. I blame Sesame street for shortening the US attention span to a minute.😷

@fanuc2013 Any celebrity that sues for defamation would have to prove that the lies damaged them. There was a famous case where Jerry Falwell sued Hustler magazine for an article describing Falwell's first sexual experience with his own mother. Since none of Falwell's followers would have believed this, and the article was obviously intended to be humorous, Falwell lost his suit.

The bar for politicians and celebrities is much higher than it is for private citizens.
