That's weird because China was rather quiet about former SoS, Mike Pompeo visiting Taiwan back in March. Pompeo even slapped the CCP by referring to Taiwan as a country. 🤔

Again reading about this the item I read re: forceful measures suggested flying Chinese jets over Taiwan. Not a wise move. The Taiwanese AF would most likely intercept and possibly get into an armed exchange.

@soar2newhighs China has been flying their jets near Taiwan lately. Not something they did during Trump's tenure...only Biden's.

@BizSuitStacy I’m guessing here, but Biden did say we’re committed to defending Taiwan. Yet the WH apparently walked his comments back ( I believe he espoused it more than once) , citing our stance (current and perhaps past administrations since 79) of ambiguity toward Taiwan. Yet we have much going on with and in Taiwan
And as you post, the Chinese have flown “ near”, not over Taiwan or violated
It was a great tour of duty 73-74!
