Churchill shared many views with the Nazi's. He was a total racist too.

BridgeOvertroubledWaters · 61-69, M
@Loopysoutherner but was pro Zionist, maybe that was to get the Jews out of England 🤔
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Loopysoutherner he called them wogs
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@BridgeOvertroubledWaters the same Jews who demanded land of their own then chose to occupy Palestine
BridgeOvertroubledWaters · 61-69, M
@Loopysoutherner so do you also accept the Nazi view ?
Jews don't belong in Europe, they don't belong in Palestine, antisemitism is high in the USA and you don't want Jews there. I guess they don't belong anywhere... perhaps the gas chambers and crematories were the solution 🤔

@BridgeOvertroubledWaters I believe in not occupying another people's after you yourself had been occupied and murdered for nothing
BridgeOvertroubledWaters · 61-69, M
@Loopysoutherner please explain exactly what Israel is occupying ?
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@BridgeOvertroubledWaters Palestine and its citizens. Been doing that since 1946 or 1948
BridgeOvertroubledWaters · 61-69, M
@Loopysoutherner so should the Jews have stayed in Europe where it was made clear that they weren't welcome?
Tried going to the USA who didn't want them as refugees before the war ? Tried going to Arab countries who had pogromed them ?
Btw , occupation ? You mean like Texas which was part of Mexico once ?

@BridgeOvertroubledWaters I mean in the vein of apartheid era South Africa. Forcibly removing Palestinian citizens out of a land they'd homed for hundreds of years is appaling and inhumane
BridgeOvertroubledWaters · 61-69, M
@Loopysoutherner pm ... Oops for some reason I can't message you
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@BridgeOvertroubledWaters of all people I'd have thought Jewish people wouldn't occupy and persucate other people because of prejudices
BridgeOvertroubledWaters · 61-69, M
@Loopysoutherner continue this next week. I have to log off.

@Loopysoutherner You just get more and more stupid lol

@SW-User because I'm talking about history?

@Loopysoutherner
Because of comments like that.

Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@SW-User so yes, because of history. Israel has been occupying Palestine since 1948

SW-User
@Loopysoutherner And what do you think that history is exactly?
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@SW-User that it's an apartheid

SW-User
@Loopysoutherner You could argue that those in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza may be subject to apartheid, but it is still a matter of opinion.
There never was a Palestinian state prior to the establishment of Israel. There had been plans to create a Jewish state for several decades though. Some Jews had been settled in Israel for hundreds if not thousands of years, depending on whether they left after the diaspora and then returned. Either way, they had not migrated to Europe at any point. Jewish migration from Europe to Israel did start before WW2 though, and then became increasingly more so for obvious reasons. The British controlled Palestine.
People can argue over who has the most right to that land but they should acknowledge that it is seen as the Jewish homeland. Yes, *some* Palestinians were living there. A lot of the Palestinians there now are too the descendants of people who moved there, though.
To further address your original point, even if we say that Israel does practice apartheid, it is still only in *some* respects because Palestinians living in Israel are given the same rights. Attempts were made in the past to introduce a two-state solution but Palestine has consistently refused the right of Israel to exist. Maybe if they approached the situation more diplomatically, we wouldn't have what is occurring in the so-called "occupied" territories. And btw, the only reason Israel came to capture those territories after 20 years is the Arab-Israeli War in 1967. Three Arab states (all neighboring countries) attacked Israel, and Israel defended its own state while acquiring more territory. It's very sad that people are suffering in these territories...Palestinians who have been in positions of power and their neighboring Arabs have not once tried to do anything productive or make any positive changes though, as they refuse to recognize Israel's right to exist.
Now, as a young teen I used to be more pro-Israel whereas now there is a greater ambivalence toward it. I don't really believe in nationalism and I think conflict should be avoided. However, I think after what has happened in Europe throughout the centuries and certainly after the Holocaust, there is a need for a Jewish State. Is it really that much to ask for, to have that tiny piece of land that has been considered the Jewish homeland for 4000 years?

@SW-User israel became an independent state in 1948.before that it never existed whereas Palestine did but under British occupation and was reffered to as mandatory Palestine. Did you really just say "those in the west bank, east jurusulem and gaza may be subject to apartheid"? I'm gonna put that down as a typing error as surely someone who wants to pass themselves of as an intelligent person wouldn't support such a inhumane regime. Palestinians have absolutely no rights and are trapped in appaling conditions and are treated like vermin by the Israeli government. Surely your not this naive and one minded? Considered by whom? A made up God? You honestly believe thats why Israel forcibly removed Palestinians from their homes whilst claiming it was to prevent a second holocaust and later hiring people as new historians with the intention of rewriting history. I'll ask again surely your not this naive and one minded?
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@SW-User so why didn't the holocaust survivor's go to another land or share the land with the Palestinians like England and the United nations told them to?
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@BridgeOvertroubledWaters Everyone belongs everywhere and anywhere.
