I agree, in principal, but in the uk at present we are seeing the ugly side of the unions, in particular the Transport Workers union. They have already had three days of strikes, with all that implies for innocent travellers, and another one next week. The sad thing is that the union bosses want this and are flexing their muscle against an unpopular government.

@SW-User mick lynch being brilliant representing his union who shouldn't have to have pay cuts whilst the bosses earn more and more

@Loopysoutherner He is impressive but i find it a simplistic argument. The left and thr unions rightly denigrated the Tories on partygate making arguments on personal sacrifices, missed weddings, funerals etc erc...Mick Lynch must accept that many inncent travellers experienced the same bevause of him and his union. It is disgraceful.

Sorry about typing mistakes.

@SW-User his job is to represent his union and he's doing that wonderfully. It's not fair for the train drivers to suffer simply because it's incovenient for some people

@Loopysoutherner He is holding the travelling public to ransom. It is classic union bullying because we, the travellibg public, cant fight back. This coukd have been settled long before strikes. You must accept that. Left wing bullies are nothibg new.

@SW-User so you think he and his union should just accept pay cuts and unworkable conditions simply because some people are crying that he wants to improve the rights of his union
SW-User
@Loopysoutherner No, i think he and deputies should have negotiated earlier and realistically. Life is hard for more than union members.

@SW-User how do you know He didn't try to negotiate earlier? Not uncommon for capitalist bosses to ignore the workers unless action is taken

@Loopysoutherner Capitalist bosses...what is this, the 1800s? Unions yeah...bosses boo!! Come on, really? The unions see a weak and unpopular givernment and want to give ut a good kicking.

@SW-User ye what would you call them? We live in a capitalist country with one per cent of rich people on top whilst the majority are poor and always working. I love how stupid mick lynch is making tories look
