Are Republicans trying to bring about a theocracy in the US ?

I think some kind of soft or hard religious war is on the horizon in America. Too many hardcore extremist Christians threw their heart and soul into trump's presidency and now they they have SCOTUS power they will push for as much as they can get out of it. And they are crawling out of the woodwork like bugs to be candidates for office and running on things like homophobia, only Christians can be teachers, no separation of church and state, etc.
